How can we have healthy relationships?

This activity helps us to think about different feelings that we are feeling and to be able to communicate this to another. Talking to friends and sharing experiences and feelings is an important part of developing trust, care and value in our friendships and relationships.  Relationships are the connections we have with the people around us that help us to feel loved, cared for and safe . There are many different types of relationships or connections that we can have;  friendships, our family and carers, and our wider family members too. We need to develop relationship skills to help form and sustain meaningful relationships.

  • It is important to notice how we are feeling in our environment and within our relationships
  • We can have lots of different feelings and that is ok
  • Noticing who is special to us helps us to value our relationships
